Reflections on Independence Day PDF E-mail
Written by Tod Perdelwitz
As I reflect on the Independence Day just past, I sense a nervous undercurrent running through the nation.  233 years after the Declaration, there is a certain fatalistic poignancy about things patriotic and political.  It appears as though most of us are looking back to the “good ol’ days,” rather than looking forward.  It seems that the consensus opinion is that we are on a downhill slide.

Abstinence Education Funding Coming to an End PDF E-mail
Written by Pastor Brad Cranston
If things go as it appears they will, this coming Tuesday will mark the end of $177 million in government funding for Abstinence Education Programs dating back to 1996.  But don't think that this will be a savings to tax payers.  President Obama has asked that the funding be redirected to a "teen pregnancy prevention initiative" the details of which are still "unknown."  What do you think the chances are that it will teach teenagers about abstinence?  The End of Abstinence Education Funding

Obama Care / Health Care You Will Pay For PDF E-mail
Written by Pastor Brad Cranston
The Senate has come up with a health care plan that the President supports... and so will you whether you want to or not.  Of course there will always be those among us who are not good comrades.  But that is OK too because it is estimated by the Congressional Budget Office that the fines levied upon the recalcitrants will generate $36 billion over 10 years.  The "good" news is that the fines will "offset at least half of the cost of basic medical coverage." Yeah!  The Plan You Will Pay For

Biblical Values Considered to be "Worn Arguments" PDF E-mail
Written by Pastor Brad Cranston
President Barack Obama considers Biblical values which condemn homosexuality to be little more then "worn arguments and old attitudes."  Speaking of the many of us who continue to take a stand against homesexual behavior the President said, ""There are still fellow citizens, perhaps neighbors or even family members and loved ones, who still hold fast to worn arguments and old attitudes."  He hopes that we will soon see the light.  Unfortunately the light that he is promoting is darkness.  President Promotes Homosexuality
